Position Description Hot Cook
The Hot Cook position consists of all Cook responsibilities as well as Buffet Attendant responsibilities. The Cook is responsible for the quality, quantity, and freshness of all Hot Choice Buffet products, paying special attention to recipes, production levels, speed, cleanliness, and organization. The Buffet Attendant maintains the Golden Corral standards of quality, cleanliness, and guest service, while also interacting with Guests in a positive and informative manner. The Buffet Attendant ensures a clean, colorful, and attractive buffet, knowing that it can make a very positive impression on the Guest. Position Uniform
Below is a list of Golden Corral standards for the Hot Cook’s uniform. Co-workers must arrive at work and leave from work in uniform. For more information on personal appearance and grooming, refer to the Co-worker Orientation Handbook.
Uniform Package. Hot Cooks must wear the following uniform.
- Clean, wrinkle-free, short-sleeved, or long-sleeved black polo shirt with GC logo,
tucked into pants.
- Depending on management directive: Clean, solid-colored blue jeans in good condition with straight leg or boot cut (not embellished, faded, frayed, distressed or holey; not low-rise, wide leg, skinny, or leggings/jeggings). OR clean, solid black pants in good condition (no black jeans or corduroys, no yoga pants or leggings).
- Neat, clean, black shoes (with slip-resistant soles—no crepe soles) in good condition. No canvas tennis shoes.
- Clean, black socks.
- Current black apron.
- Current ball cap or skullcap with GC logo.
- Golden Corral nametag. Promotional buttons and service pins as directed by the Manager.
