Supported by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) and the foodservice industry, ProStart is a two-year career and technical education program in high schools focused on teaching culinary arts and restaurant management fundamentals through a combination of classroom and industry instruction. Once students pass two national exams, demonstrate a mastery of foundational skills, and work 400 mentored hours, they earn the ProStart Certificate of Achievement, which makes them eligible to receive scholarships and course credits at select colleges and universities.
Golden Corral understands investing in the stars of tomorrow is important to grow our industry’s ability to attract the best and brightest talent. Golden Corral has been involved with ProStart at the national level from the onset of the program as a sponsor. Additionally, we provide teacher grants, training and development opportunities for teachers and students, and sponsorships for the state and national level competitions.
